TWEENS AND TEENS
Based on all the choices today, it is vitally important that we, tweens and teens find a way to keep our authenticity intact. We are what we feel and so often we change what we feel to go along with the group or milieu. However, it is important that we base our decisions on what is best for ourselves and our highest good.
Life is more than just surviving. We are here to learn and more often than not we learn from our mistakes. We must not be hard on ourselves; any fault half recognized is half corrected. Our freedom to make mistakes is one of our greatest assets. From them we learn, humility, determination, wisdoms and courage. We need not follow. To lead though, we need to look for people who inspire us, who we respect and look up to. To be a good teacher, we must first be a good student.
Love
Love is really all that matters. Love is life and the most important ingredient of happiness. Healthy, intimate relationships must be built on respect, soulfulness and understanding. Without it, our life echoes emptiness. Engaging ourselves in loving, kind, compassionate things, we will feel better about ourselves and the world we live in. In life today, we are exposed to so many hateful, negative factors. The best way to handle this, is to stay away from the corrupt negativity and focus on the pure positivity. Wonderful things are indeed happening in our communities and our world at large. They just do not get the same amount of press and attention.
Looking to what we like, what makes our heart sing, what we want, what we want to create, what we want to be one day, what makes us feel good about ourselves, is the key to a healthy, stimulating, fun loving life. Learning to make decisions mindfully from our hearts leads us to a fulfillment that knows no boundaries. It ensures days of love, light and laughter.
Truth
Truth is the one ingredient that love cannot survive without. The Onionhead tools and programs are created as a way to access and source our truths. It does not matter the age, where there is not truth, there is not love. So many people have a fear of speaking their truth. They are afraid of not being liked, being abandoned or left out. As long as our truths are spoken in a way that is respectful and direct, we can be completely detached. We are responsible for how we speak our truth, we are not responsible for how someone reacts.
As W.C. Hazlitt wrote:
For every evil under the sun
There is a remedy, or there is none.
If there be one – try and find it
If there be none – never mind it!
Money
Money is another subject that should be addressed. We live in a world that is so filled with money issues and attachments. Though money is indeed important, it does not surpass love. We need to combine the both. Our driving force needs to be what makes our hearts sing. When one combines money and heart… there exists perfect harmony.
Money will buy a bed – but not sleep.
Money will buy a house – but not a home.
Money will buy books – but not brains.
Money will buy medicine – but not health.
Money will buy food – but not an appetite.
Money will buy amusement – but not happiness.
The most beautiful things in the world cannot be bought.
They must be felt by the heart.
