Onionhead in edplay Magazine
Onionhead was recently featured in edplay Magazine’s “retailers recommend… More Fabulous Products” (June 2010). Jennifer Shuman of 1 Smart Noodle in El Paso, Texas, who has a background in special education, wrote about how the Onionhead series of products is “absolutely phenomenal – it speaks to children in their language at their level, and they completely understand it.” She chose to highlight the A-Z Dictionary of 52 Emotions, one of our favorite tools, especially when used in conjunction with our Children’s Feelings Cards.

Onionhead Workshop at Long Island University
Library Sciences students at Long Island University’s CW Post campus participated in an introduction and brief interactive workshop recently. The students learned about Onionhead’s tools used to facilitate communication and problem-solving. The session – unexpectedly and delightfully! - turned into a brainstorming of the organizations the students felt could be touched by Onionhead. The group embraced the idea of bringing our cards, dictionaries and magnets into community and school libraries, both for lending and for use in the library itself.
