Onionhead® peels feelings

peeling feelings…teaching kids what to do with what they feel

New York, NY. (February 14, 2009) – Onionhead® responds to and addresses the fact that our country is in a state of emotional emergency.  This is a crisis that impacts and targets our youth.  Onionhead®’s products arm our children to be the voice against violence, the guide towards goodness and the teacher of truth.  We believe that every child deserves the right to reach their full potential. The key to ensuring that kind of future is cultivating the ability to navigate through feelings appropriately.

Onionhead® was developed by a mother-daughter team 15 years ago. The mother, a counselor herself, conceived the idea for adults. Her 2 year old grandson, considered a spectrum child, demanded that Onionhead® be done for children. So the daughter, an artist and writer, birthed the character.  That animated character has grown into a full new product line and catalogue launching at the New York Toy Fair ’09.  Onionhead®’s product lines now include collectibles, toys, clothes and games with new books.
